It’s a busy month for The Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe! Join us tonight, May 18 as we take on the Pioneer Valley improv group Jellyfish for some short and long-form improv. The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Spectrum Playhouse in Lee, Massachusetts. Tickets are available at $12 per person, $6 for students with I.D. (cash or check accepted).

On Saturday, May 26, RBIT returns to where it all began, North Adams, Massachusetts, for another show at Mill City Productions (located in the Heritage Stage Park, Building 4). Kick off the Memorial Day weekend with our perfect blend of non-scripted comedic mayhem! The show begins at 8 p.m., with $10 tickets available at the door.

About RBIT:

The Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe (RBIT), the funniest thing in the Berkshires since roundabouts, is a comedy improv group that has been delighting audiences with its own brand of unscripted comedic mayhem since June 2001. Performing a mix of theater games reminiscent of the TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the group models its work on the teachings of renowned theater games/improvisation instructor Keith Johnstone. Through audience participation, RBIT’s mission is to create entertaining scenes which explore the boundaries of theater improvisation.

About Jellyfish:

Longtime professional improvisers Scott Braidman, Mosie McNally, and Pam Victor join forces to create Jellyfish, a comedy show with tentacles. Each of these comedians come to the show with a slew of improv experience, setting the stage for impressive improv magic. Scott Braidman currently works with The August Company (Northampton), but has his roots at ImprovBoston, where he directed their award-winning Family Show, and Improv Asylum (Boston) as a NXT cast member. Mosie McNally also hails from ImprovBoston as a Mainstage member as well as a player in a wide variety of improvised shows there. Pam Victor is the founding member of the Pioneer Valley’s acclaimed improv troupe The Ha-Ha’s as well as the producer of The Happier Valley Comedy Show in Northampton.  Put these three kooky comedians together and you get Jellyfish, an improvised, long-form show that combines skill and silly sure to awe and amuse the whole audience.

RBIT continues its monthly showcase at the Spectrum Playhouse in Lee, MA, with a performance this Friday, April 20, starting at 7:30 p.m. We’ve got music, dancing, and perhaps some rappin’ psychiatry! If that wasn’t enough… the following night, Saturday, April 21, RBIT returns to where it all started–North Adams, baby! We’ll be performing at Mill City Productions, an exciting new venue. The show starts at 8 p.m., with $10 tickets at the door. Woot!

This Friday night at the Red Herring on Spring St. in Williamstown the Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe and talented Stand Up comedians take to the stage to keep you laughing through these chilly nights. Show starts at 8pm and tickets are only $10. Tell all your Williams College friends that there is professional comedy just down the street! Hope to catch ya there!

Stand up and Improv comedy together in the same night?! That’s right folks. Main Street Stage presents on Friday, July 29th, a night of side splitting laughter and buckled over guffawing when two genres of comedy share the same stage…but not at the same time. Need a good laugh this winter? Main Street Stage at 57 Main Street in North Adams is announcing regular Comedy Nights on their stage, beginning Friday, February 18th, at 8 pm. For $10, the public will get a double dose of comedy with the hilarious stylings of comics Mark Jagiello, Sharkee Katz, Seth Brown, and Eric Nottke, followed by the crazy shenanigans of The Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe (RBIT).
